For more than 30 years, Roger has been a visionary designer of hundreds of projects. With over $8 billion dollars in projects designed, Roger has conceived resort, hotel, casino, restaurant, mixed use, condo, residential, office, spa, sports club, sports arena, mall projects, and more.
In addition to design, he has been principally responsible for managing project costs while overseeing the progress of construction. Roger’s work spans the United States, the Caribbean, the United Kingdom, Asia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Before starting his firm, Roger’s career took him both through Architectural and Interior design firms. Quickly being recognized as an inspired designer, space planner, and master planner, resulted in his becoming Director of Design at the Architecture firm Miller Truax Associates, managing a variety of project types.
As Founding-Principal of Genesis Associates, he is responsible as primary conceptual, often retained for pre-development services to evaluate acquisition of land and pre-existing businesses.
“Most designers when creating build on past success. This results in projects looking similar and incurring unneeded costs.
My approach is to start with a blank page and pray for inspiration that is most suited to the owners’ desires. When you keep the appropriate seed of inspiration in focus you always create a project that the client can say is produced for them with its own unique identity.”
This philosophy has resulted in notably designed projects at low project costs. For example, the million square foot MotorCity Casino Hotel cost approximately $350 million. Similar and smaller Hotel Casino projects built in the same year ranged from $600 million to $700 million.
Roger brings with him an invaluable reduction of overall project timeline while insuring the highest quality—always keeping in mind the individual needs of his client for the best return on their investment.
